Terms of service

Pathway helps Ghanaian students apply to universities in the United States and Canada: choosing programmes and schools, scholarship and funding strategy, application and essay coaching, and interview preparation, including for the student visa or study permit. These terms summarise the Candidate Engagement Agreement each client accepts before starting. If anything here differs from that agreement, the agreement applies.

No guarantee

Admission, scholarships, financial aid, visas and study permits are decided only by universities, funding bodies and governments. We can't guarantee any outcome, and nothing we say is a promise of admission, funding or a visa.

Free consultation

Each person can have one free consultation. Someone who has already had theirs (or missed it twice) can book a paid follow-up consultation. One free reschedule is offered after a first missed call.

What we ask of you

• Give us complete and accurate information: grades, test scores, documents and history.
• Your essays, statements and interview answers are your own. We coach and give feedback; we don't write applications, and work written by someone else or by AI must not be submitted as yours.
• Reply to requests within 48 hours, meet the deadlines set in your Pathway account, and attend calls or give 24 hours' notice.
• Where a sponsor pays for your studies, proof of funds must be genuine and verifiable.

What ends the engagement without a refund

• Forged, altered or purchased documents, or asking us to help obtain them.
• Misrepresenting facts to a university, scholarship body, embassy or immigration authority.
• Plagiarism, or submitting work written by someone else or by AI as your own.
• Sharing your login, or recording, sharing or reselling our sessions and materials.
• Contacting universities or officials in our name, or claiming we guarantee anything.
• Abusive, threatening or discriminatory behaviour toward our team.

Fees and payment

Packages are paid in four instalments: onboarding (when you commit), shortlist and applications, decisions and visa, and pre-departure (included at no charge unless your package says otherwise). Work for an instalment starts once it is paid. Prices are set in U.S. dollars; when you pay in cedis, the exchange rate is fixed on the invoice when it is issued. For now you pay by Mobile Money or bank transfer, using the details your adviser gives you; once online payment is available, you will also be able to pay by Mobile Money or card through our payment provider, and we will never see or store your card or Mobile Money details. Application, test, credential evaluation, visa and study permit fees, and courier costs, are paid by you and are not included unless stated. Refunds are explained in our refund policy.

Confidentiality

We keep your personal, academic and financial information confidential and use it only to deliver our services, sharing it only with universities, testing bodies and service providers as your application needs, or as the law requires. In return, our methods, school lists, templates, question banks and session recordings are confidential to you for three years after the engagement ends. Ending the engagement

The engagement runs until you enrol, withdraw in writing, or our services are complete. Either side may end it with 14 days' written notice, and we may end it at once for the conduct listed above.

Liability

Our total liability is limited to the fees you have paid. We are not liable for decisions of universities, funding bodies or governments, delays caused by others, or losses from inaccurate information you or your sponsor give us. This does not limit any liability that the law doesn't allow to be limited.

Law and disputes

These terms and our engagement agreement are governed by the laws of Ghana. We will first try to resolve any disagreement with you directly and in good faith; failing that, by mediation or arbitration in Accra, and failing that, before the courts of Ghana.
