How it works
From your first call to your first day on campus.
Applying to a university abroad has many moving parts. Here is what happens at each stage, what you do, and what we do, so you always know what comes next.
- 1
Free consultation
- What happens
- You apply on this website by answering six short questions about your results or work experience, your goals, your budget and when you want to start. We read every application ourselves.
- What you do
- Answer honestly, especially about results and money. A clear picture now saves you from applying to schools that were never a fit.
- What we do
- If we can help, we email you a link to pick a time for a free 20-minute video call. On the call we tell you which options are realistic and which package would suit you. There is no obligation to continue.
- 2
Your plan
- What happens
- If you decide to go ahead, we send you a link to complete your profile, choose your package, accept the engagement agreement and make your first payment.
- What you do
- Fill in your profile, add a passport-style photo, read and accept the agreement, and pay by mobile money or bank transfer, using the details your adviser gives you.
- What we do
- We match you with an adviser, hold a kickoff call, and build a timeline that works back from the intake you are aiming for.
- 3
Documents & shortlist
- What happens
- You upload your documents to your Pathway account, and together we build a shortlist of programmes that fit your results, your experience, your field and your budget.
- What you do
- Upload your results, transcripts, passport, a CV if you have worked, and any test scores, then review and approve your shortlist. A parent or spouse with full access can approve it with you.
- What we do
- We check each document and tell you exactly what is missing. Every programme on your shortlist is matched against admission requirements our team has verified, with the date we last checked.
- 4
Applications
- What happens
- We work through each application on your shortlist, one deadline at a time.
- What you do
- Draft your essays and personal statements in your own voice, and revise them with our feedback.
- What we do
- We review your essays with you, round by round, prepare and submit your applications, and track every deadline in your task list so nothing is missed.
- 5
Decisions & visa
- What happens
- As decisions arrive, we help you choose an offer, then prepare for the visa and for the move itself.
- What you do
- Tell us about every decision you receive, choose your school, and practise for your visa interview.
- What we do
- We compare your offers side by side, guide you through the I-20 or study permit, run mock visa interviews with you, and keep a checklist for your flight, housing and orientation.
What to have ready
You don't need everything on day one, but these are the documents we will ask for.
- Your results, such as WASSCE or your degree, and any other exam certificates
- Transcripts from your school or university
- A valid passport, or your plan to get one
- Your CV and the people who can write references, if you have worked
- Test scores such as IELTS, TOEFL, SAT, GRE or GMAT, if you have them
We do not collect financial documents. Proof of funds goes from you or your sponsor directly to the university and the embassy.
What we can and cannot promise
- No adviser can guarantee admission, a scholarship or a visa: universities, funders and governments decide.
- We promise a shortlist matched to verified requirements, complete applications submitted on time, and thorough preparation for your visa interview.
- Your first consultation is free, and there is no obligation to continue after it.
